Brad Spellberg, author of Rising Plague, along with Rich Proctor and David Gilbert, are at work on a documentary that shows the human costs of antibiotic resistance. The trailer is now available. It shows a scenario that is increasingly common: healthy young people are devastated by infections that hospitals can do little to treat. The two subjects of the trailer survive, but their health is permanently compromised.
It's a very good explanation of the causes and consequences of antibiotic resistance, and of what we need to do about it. Please watch.
